General Information,

Gerani is a quiet seaside village located 1km from Platanias and 11km from Chania. The beach of Gerani is part of the continuous beach of 25km from Chania to Kolymbari. Most part of the beach is sand and without sun beds and umbrellas. In Gerani beach you can enjoy your swim and sun tanning quiet and relaxing. Also, this beach is one of the few places in the Mediterranean Sea that sea turtles Caretta Caretta appear and spawn their eggs.
 
 In Gerani also, you can enjoy a walk in the nature and taste the local cuisine in one of the hidden traditional tavernas in the endless bamboo fields.

In the village you can find Pharmacy, Mini Markets, Restaurants, Tavernas, Bar, Bakery and shops with local products and souvenirs.
